Roundup: Everest takes 3rd

Yuba City High’s Amarpreet Everest finished third in the girls triple jump at the Nevada Union Track and Field Invitational on Saturday.
Everest leaped 31 feet, 4 inches. She also placed sixth in the 100-meter hurdles (16.92 seconds) and sixth in the 300 hurdles (49.25).
BOYS TRACK & FIELD
Kahlon third in hurdles
Gurpreet Kahlon of Yuba City finished third boys 300 hurdles at the Nevada Union meet with a time of 42.69.
Rashed Razzada finished ninth in the same event (45.72).
JV GIRLS TRACK & FIELD
Hale second in shot put
Yuba City’s Wonwyne Hale placed second in the shot put at the Nevada Union meet with a 28-5 toss. She also tossed the discus.
Ashton Hudleton finished 13th in the shot put (17-7). Jasmine Visla placed ninth in the 400 (1:19.16) while Pindy Thiara was 10th (1:23.23).
JV BOYS TRACK & FIELD
Cook runs personal best
Reed Cook ran a personal best in the 400 at the Nevada Union meet, finishing 17th in 59.95.
Gagneet Singh finished 12th in the triple jump (34-2).
