School: Lindhurst

What are your plans after high school? Any scholarships? Attend Texas Southern University and run track. I can walk on and get a scholarship.

Why Texas? I have family there. I went to school there and ran my sophomore year. They're way more competitive.

Favorite subject: English

Are you interested in any other sports? I play basketball. I ran cross country my freshman year, but I just don't have the endurance for it.

Do you train for track and how? Well, I played basketball, but I could have been in the weight room with the coaches instead.

What got you interested in track? I started when I was really little. In middle school is when you have the big meets.

Favorite sport to watch? Favorite team? Track and basketball. The Cavaliers — I like LeBron.

What deodorant do you wear? Men's deodorant — Arm and Hammer

What do you listen to before you race? What songs pump you up? R&B music or anything that has a hard bass

Is there something you do before every race? First, I pray. I always practice coming out of the blocks.

Biggest competition in the area? Kym Crosby. She's my only competition. I have to run with the boys.

Are you and Kym friends? Well, I think we're friends. I'm proud of her. She's real awesome and has tons of energy. She's a beautiful runner.

Do you ever beat the boys? And do they get mad? I've beaten most of them. They get upset.

What's an interesting fact about you that we wouldn't know? I'm very friendly. I look hard/mean but I don't on purpose. I think I'm a pretty nice person.
