Blake Lavin tossed a five inning no-hitter with six strikeouts, Josh Hill was 3-for-4 with two doubles, a triple and three RBIs and the Lions won a mercy-rule shortened game at the Liberty Tournament.
Daniel Atkins was 1-for-2 with a home run and three RBIs and Sam Ithurburn was 2-for-3 with a double for the Lions (2-0).
Live Oak 5, Orland 4
Zac Walker hit a two-RBI walk-off double in the bottom of the seventh to lift the Lions to a win in their final game before the start of Sacramento Valley League play.
Starting pitcher Tony Montes tallied 11 strikeouts and Miguel Alejo was 1-for-2 with a double for Live Oak (2-3).
Pierce 14, Williams 1
Ottie Harris went 2-for-4 with four RBIs and Taylor Cabral was 2-for-3 to lead the Bears (2-2) to a victory at Williams.
SOFTBALL
Live Oak 12, Orland 0
Mercedez Duenas was 2-for-2 with two RBIs, Chelsea Souza was 2-for-2 with a double and two RBIs and the hot-hitting Lions moved to 5-0 on the season with the win over the Trojans.
Souza pitched the first four innings before sister Courtney Souza closed out the game with a scoreless fifth in the mercy-rule shortened contest.
Lyndsey Sizemore was 2-for-2 and Claudia Sandoval was 2-for-3 for the Lions.

The Indians opened up GEL play with a thorough working of the Spartans.
Ashton Welch was 4-for-5 with a double and a home run, Marissa Clavelle was 3-for-4 with three RBIs and Danielle Ferrari was 2-for-2 with two RBIs for the Indians (3-1, 1-0).
Winters 7, East Nicolaus 4
Freshman Amanda Taylor went 2-for-3 and struck out four in seven innings as the Spartans (2-1) dropped a nonleague game to Winters.

Bodhi Yeaton placed first in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1 minute, 17.63 seconds and finished second in the 100 butterfly with a time of 1:00 in the Indians' dual meet.
Brandon Sexton finished first in the 50 freestyle with a time of 29.28 and also placed first in the 100 freestyle in a time of 1:13.73.

Jonathan Roman finished first in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:30.89 and also placed second in the 200 freestyle in a time of 2:53.21 to lead the Lindhurst boys team.

Christine Chiono placed first in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:14.81 and also finished second in the 100 butterfly with a time of 1:10.36.
In the 400 freestyle relay, the team of Maxine Baker, Dominique Leatherman, Ashley McDonald and Chiono finished first with a time of 4:43.60.
Bradshaw Christian 101, Lindhurst 39
Jessika Calisterio finished second in the 50 freestyle with a time of 37.47 and also placed second in the 100 breaststroke in a time of 1:36.70 to lead the Blazers' girls team.
TENNIS
Marysville 9, San Juan 0
In boys singles, Kong Xiong defeated his opponent 6-3, 6-3 and Cha Xiong also won 6-4, 6-1 to lead the Indians to another win.
Moriah Edwards (6-3, 6-2) and Colby Anderson (6-1, 6-0) won in girls singles, and the teams of Armando Montejano and Jordan Burrell (10-1) and Terry Prince and Lennox Jacobson (10-1) won in boys doubles.
For the girls, the teams of Kayla Elder and Julia Findley (10-0) and Jaimie Hurdt and Victoria Apperson (10-0) earned victories for the Indians (6-0, 5-0), while Nick Kautz and Annie Lin won their match 10-0 in mixed doubles.
On Tuesday, Kong Xiong won his singles match 6-4, 6-3 as the Indians swept past Forest Lake 7-2. Colby Anderson (6-4, 6-3) won her match in the girls singles.
GOLF

Alex Cummings shot a 52 to lead the Indians at Bing Maloney Golf Course.
