Roundup: Soccer seasons snuffed

Walker Shaw scored the lone goal for the Honkers in the Sac-Joaquin Section Division III road playoff game.
The Panthers scored the winning goal on a penalty kick in the 95th minute of the game.
"Giovanni Padilla scored on an awesome header, but the goal was called back on a questionable offsides call," said Yuba City coach Paul Shank.
The Honkers finish the season at 23-3-2 overall.
Rio Americana 3, River Valley 1
Khalid Rahim scored the only goal for River Valley in the first few minutes, but the Falcons couldn't hold on in a road playoff loss.
Goalie Felipe Rodriguez was taken out from a hard hit in the first half. Coach Matt Scarfe credited Castulo Carvajal and Darrick Meyers with a good game.
Adgar Aguirre, Carvajal. Rodriguez and Meyers were all named to the All-League team for River Valley (9-12-4).
MEN'S COLLEGE SOCCER
Yuba 3, Napa 1
Samuel Dandy scored in the sixth minute and added a second half goal off a penalty kick to lead the Yuba College men's soccer team to a 3-1 over Napa at home on Friday.
Roberto Paras add the 49ers' final goal off an assist from Dandy. Ghias Sediqui also had an assist for Yuba (11-4-2, 7-2-1).
WOMEN'S SOCCER
Yuba 6, Contra Costa 0
Liana Knight notched a second half hat trick and finished with four goals in a rout of the Comets in conference play at home.
Lexi Kidd and Jocelyn Rapp also scored for Yuba, which has just one game remaining in the regular season. Christina Baggio had a pair of assists and Rapp added an assist of her own for the 49ers (10-7-2, 6-0).
WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL
Yuba 3, Alameda 0
Fiona Newman tallied 13 kills and two digs to help the Niners to a BVC 25-7, 25-10, 25-10 road victory. Kristan Music finished with 18 assists, four aces and a kill.
Whitney Provancha had six digs and Lateric Johnson had five kills and three aces. Megan Coupe tallied four kills and Alyse Uhland recorded three aces and two kills for the Niners (14-6, 12-1).
WOMEN'S BASKETBALL
Yuba 90, College of Redwoods 80
Jaime Correa tallied 21 points, six rebounds and three blocks to lead the 49ers in a season-opening preseason victory at the Cosumnes River Tournament.
Nichole Manley-Case finished with 20 points including five three-pointers. Aisha Hudson had 12 points and 11 rebounds. Tara Silva and Alex Rainey had seven assists each. Silva also had five points and Rainey had three for Yuba (1-0).
PREP
Maxwell 50, Tulelake 6
The Maxwell High football team cruised to an Evergreen League title with a home victory.
Gerardo Parra scored a pair of rushing touchdowns and Steven Perry caught two touchdown passes.
Tyler Wells and James Bowen each ran one in for a touchdown for the Panthers (7-3, 2-0).
Yuba City 40, Pioneer 32
Taylor Rowe rushed for 144 yards on 26 carries and scored three touchdowns to help the Honkers to a road Tri-County Conference victory. Raul Lozano had 134 yards rushing.
Bernell Barmore ran back a 76-yard kickoff return and caught a 30-yard touchdown pass from David Schroeder. Trevor Moffis scored on a 54 yard run for the Honkers.
Live Oak 24, Rio Vista 14
Kaleb Allen scored a pair of touchdowns to help the Lions to a Sacramento Valley League victory on the road.
Ish Gardon and Javier Ramos each picked off a pass and returned it for a touchdown for Live Oak (5-5).
CROSS COUNTRY
Colusa girls win first place
The Colusa High varsity girls team finished out the season with a victory over Pierce to gain the Butte View League title.
Carli Marengo, Mimi Rinzler, Paige Townzen and Vanessa Mendez had good races for the Redskins. Other notable races came from Ashleigh Biggs, Hannah Carter, Leslie Lopez, Jessica Garcia, Diana Madrigal and Kenzie Burgard.
For the boys team, freshman Ross Cervantes took third place. Isidro Garcia set a personal record for the course.
