Roundup: Sutter Buttes, Peach Bowl major softball move on

Kaitlyn Combo and the Sutter Buttes major softball team shut out Colusa 10-0 in District 2 Tournament of Champions action on Sunday.

Nicole McHane hit a pair of doubles and Olivia Manuel hit a double to help in the victory.

Peach Bowl 11, North Yuba 1

Chelsea Braun had two hits and two RBIs to lead Peach Bowl to a victory.

Alauna Daggett and Kelsey Smith each hit a double and Savannah Besso picked up the win from the circle. Peach Bowl plays Wednesday at 8 p.m.

Peri Daley got the lone hit for North Yuba and scored their run. They play today at 8 p.m.

MAJOR BASEBALL

Wheatland 3, Marysville 2

Jackson Hopking hit a home run and Jared Shumway went 2-for-4 to help Wheatland get past Marysville.

Baylee Kennedy also got a hit and scored a run for Wheatland. Hopking got the win on the mound with six strikeouts.

Trevor Spencer, Chase Collmer and Dace Asher each had a hit for Marysville.

North Yuba 11, Beale 2

Justin Harrison was 3-for-4 with a home run to lead North Yuba to a victory. Garrett Brown also had three hits and three runs.

Andrew Dunham knocked in two runs. Jacob Dunham, Nathan Barber and Jacob Harrison combined for the win.

SWIMMING

Tyler Bellenfant won the 200 individual medley with a time of 2 minutes, 9.2 seconds. He also won the 100 breastsroke (1:07.88), 200 butterfly (2:25.09), 100 backstroke (59.77), 100 freestyle (51.3), 200 freestyle (1:54.57), 200 backstroke (2:09.22), 100 butterfly (57.56), 200 breastsroke (2:37.75) and 50 freestyle (23.90) for boys aged 15-18 at the North Valley A.L. Champ Meet at Feather River Aquatic Club on Saturday.

Aaron Birch was first in the 200 IM (2:26.94), 50 butterfly (29.08), 100 backstroke (1:07.61), 100 freestyle (57.53), 200 backstroke (2:21.41), 200 breastsroke (2:42.26), 50 breastsroke (33.12) and the 100 breastsroke (1:13) and was second in the 50 freestyle (25.95) for boys ages 11-12.

Arun Rai won the 25 breaststroke (21.65), 25 butterfly (18.85), 50 butterfly (39.48), 50 backstroke (41.37), 100 freestyle (1:22.90), 25 freestyle (16.54), 100 IM (1:28.09), 25 backstroke (19.57), 50 breastsroke (46.78), 50 freestyle (37.14) for boys 7-8.

Erica Bellenfant was first in the 100 backstroke (1:09), 200 backstroke (2:24.83) and placed second in the 200 IM (2:28.10), 100 freestyle (59.86). 200 butterfly (2:39.22), 200 freestyle (2:09.93) for the girls aged 13-14.

Paige Dahlen won the 25 breastsroke (32.31), 25 butterfly (26.82), 50 backstroke (1:00.41), 25 freestyle (21.52), 25 backstroke (26.44), 50 freestyle (49.01) for girls six and under.

Claudia Guillory won the 100 breastsroke (1:15.61), 100 butterfly (3:04.54), 200 backstroke (2:38.62), 200 breastsroke (2:45.38), 50 breastsroke (35.91) and was second in the 100 freestyle (1:03.36), 200 freestyle (2:18.05), 100 IM (1:11.94) for girls 11-12.

Shelby Guillory won the 100 breastsroke (1:11.15), 100 freestyle (56.9), 200 breastsroke (2:32.27), 50 freestyle (26.99) for girls 15-18. Keegan Lammert was first in the 200 IM (2:16.34) and second in the 100 butterfly (1:15.85) for the boys aged 13-14.

Max Lammert placed second in the 200 IM (2:16.34), 200 freestyle (2:02.21), 100 freestyle (53.47) and the 100 breastsroke (1:14.56), 200 backstroke (2:16.76) and 50 freestyle (24.67) for boys 15-18.

Sammy Cesena won the 100 butterfly (1:12.60), 200 breastsroke (2:59.41) and was second in the 100 breastsroke (1:25.29), 200 backstroke (2:37.05) and the 100 backstroke (1:12.56) for boys 13-14.

Katie Higdon won the 200 butterfly (2:33.48) and was second in the 100 butterfly (1:10.90) for girls 13-14.

Bodhi Yeaton was second in the 100 backstroke (1:08.16), 100 butterfly (1:02.11) and 200 breastsroke (2:51.12) for boys 15-18.

Kevin Hall won the 200 freestyle (2:09.76), 50 freestyle (26.57) for boys 13-14.
