Prep Roundup: Yuba City doubles up on Bella Vista

Quentin Rocha had a pair of doubles and four RBIs. Blake Alexander went 2-for-4, while Raul Lozano hit a double for the Honkers (2-0).
The Yuba City junior varsity team lost to Bella Vista 10-0.

Steven Perry smacked a home run, drove in three runs and ran three in himself to boost the Panthers to a home victory.
Dylan Dewit and Steven Powell each had a pair of hits and three RBIs for Maxwell (3-1).
Wheatland 13, Live Oak 0
Sean Rawlin went 2-for-2 with a triple and two RBIs, Tyler Kreditor added a two-RBI single and four pitchers combined on a five-inning one-hitter to lead the Pirates (2-2-1) at home.
Nano Panteloglow, Nolan West, Brandon Kopel and Rawlin combined on the one-hitter.

John Holloway was the low man for the Honkers, shooting an 81 at Peach Tree Golf & Country Club.
Taylor Brown posted an 82 and Donnie Triphan and Kameron Buzdas each shot a 90. Gus Wiezorek finished with a 94 for Yuba City (1-1).

Alex Cummings shot a 49 and Raymond Reed finished with a 57 to help the Indians (1-1) to a victory at Peach Tree Golf & Country Club.

Sarah Hall scored five goals to lead the Lions to a dominating home victory.
Lacy Bicknell posted a goal and Joo Lee had six saves for the Lions (3-1).

Freshman Ashley Taylor roped a home run in the first game of her varsity career for East Nicolaus.
Candee Gardner hit a double and Alanna Smith got a pair of hits. Taylor also got the win from the circle with six strikeouts for the Spartans (1-0).
Woodland Chr. 13, Faith Chr. 2
Gabi Hinz got the lone RBI in the Lions' season-opening home loss. Marla Strong and Jessica Capaul also got a hit each for Faith Christian (0-1).
Yuba City 6, Marysville 3
Maria LaBouyer and Jordan Thompson each went 2-for-3 to help the Honkers to a season-opening home victory.
LaBouyer scored two runs, while Thompson knocked two in.
Thompson had four strikeouts in the win for Yuba City (1-0).
Live Oak 6, Wheatland 4
Lyndsey Sizemore went 2-for-3 with an RBI to lead the Lions in the home-opening victory.
Courtney Souza, Chelsey Souza and Mercedez Duenas each got a hit for the Lions (1-0).

Tiffany Friel finished with 13 strikeouts and was credited with Redskins' shutout season-opening victory at home.
Kayla Cunha went 2-for-4 and Ashleigh Biggs had an RBI for Colusa (1-0).

Jennifer Rodriguez went a perfect 5-for-5 with two doubles and scored five runs to help in the domination on the road.
Mariah McCarthy had four hits and Melynda Sanchez ripped a triple for the Blazers (1-0).
TENNIS
Marysville 5, Lindhurst 4
Marysville's No. 1 boys singles player Kong Xiong narrowly defeated his opponent 7-6, 4-6, 6-3 to help the Indians to a road victory.
For the Indians' girls singles, No. 2 Colby Anderson won her match 6-3, 6-1. In boys doubles, the Marysville team of Terry Prince and Lennox Johnson won 10-8. For the girls doubles, Victoria Apperson and Annie Lin won 10-9. In mixed doubles for the Indians, Nick Kaultz and Julia Findley won 10-5 for Marysville (3-0, 2-0).
For the Blazers' boys singles, No. 2 Chong Yee Thao won 6-3, 6-2. For the girls singles, Mee Thao won 6-3, 6-3.
In doubles, Jer Vang and Fue Thao won 10-8. For the girls doubles, Mao Thao and Mao Vang won 10-6 for Lindhurst.
Wheatland 6, River Valley 3
The Pirates dominated doubles, winning all three matches. The teams of Steffan Wagman and Jeff Phavong (8-0), Cameron Bushling and Derek Zepp (8-0) and Anthony Harmon and James Borrego (8-0) all won.
Bushling (6-2, 7-6), Derek Zepp (6-2, 6-2) and Tyler Zepp (4-6, 6-4, 6-1) won their singles matches for Wheatland (3-2).
For the Falcons, No. 1 player Darian Orosco came from behind to win 3-6, 7-6, 6-4.
Mat Kittiwongkorn (6-0, 6-4) and Rick Dhaliwal (6-1, 6-1) also won their singles matches.
Live Oak 7, Sutter 2
No. 1 boys singles player Pardeep Cheema defeated his opponent 11-9 to help lead the Lions to a victory.
Eduardo Gonzalez and Donnie Bryant won their doubles match 8-3 for the Lions (2-0).
