Prep Roundup: Yuba College downed by Shasta
Doug Cornelius called it one of the most frustrating losses since taking over as head coach at Yuba College.
Shasta college jumped all over the 49ers men's basketball team early, and even though Yuba mounted a 14-point comeback to bring the score to one, it was too little too late and the 49ers fell 67-65 at the Santa Rosa Tournament on Thursday.
"We were not prepared mentally or physically," Cornelius said. "They flat out took the game from us. They wanted it more."
Yuba College (7-3) hit nine 3-pointers in the contest, three of which were knocked down by Keenan Prince.
The 49ers were led by Bo Henning, who had 15 points, while Kyle Allen and Prince each added 11.
