Blazers blanked on the road

Angel Vega finished with 75 yards on 16 carries but it was a tough night for Lindhurst, which was shut out 34-0 by host Mariposa in a Sac-Joaquin Section Division V playoff game Friday night.

Lindhurst tallied over 200 yards offensively, but the windy, rainy conditions didn't work in favor of the Blazers, who committed eight turnovers.

"We came off a big win last week against Marysville. We didn't practice as hard this week and it showed," said Lindhurst coach Dan Crabtree.

"This year was all about change. Changes I had to make in how I coached and changes in how the kids played. We'll be back next year."

The Blazers finished the season at 4-7.
