Live Oak girls roar into league play

The Live Oak girls tennis team had only one game to get the hang of things on the court before league started, but they didn't even seem phased.
The Lions shut out Willows 9-0 in the realigned Sacramento Valley League.
Jennifer De Witt (6-3, 6-1), Fermina Chavez (6-2, 6-0), Kayla Morris (6-1, 7-5), Lucero Topete (6-0, 6-1), Jewel Wise (6-3, 6-4) and Andrea Long (6-1, 6-0) each won their singles matches.
In doubles, the teams of De Witt and Chavez (8-1), Morris and Topete (8-2), and Wise and Crystal Rodriguez (8-2) won.
The Lions moved to 2-0 on the young season and 1-0 in league.
