Prep Roundup: Falcons volleyball tops Natomas
McKenzie Skyberg tallied 19 assists to help the River Valley High volleyball team to a 25-11, 25-8, 25-11 home Tri-County Conference victory over Natomas on Monday.
Taylor Messengale had 10 kills and three blocks while Brittney Reyes had five kills and Renee Hill finished with four aces in the victory for River Valley (1-2).
The JV team won 25-6, 25-9. Amanda Martinez finished with nine aces while Amrita Dale had six aces anD four kills and Kassie Lewis had four kills.
West Campus 3, Marysville 0
Marissa Clavelle had six digs, five kills and two blocks, but the Indians fell in the Golden Empire League contest.
Cameo Stevens had three kills, three aces and two digs. Annie Lin tallied three kills and two assists in the loss for Marysville (5-12, 2-7).
The JV team lost 11-15, 25-11, 19-17. Marimar Terriquez had seven assists, four aces and a dig. Morgan Cowan-Fayter finished with five kills and an ace.
Pioneer 3, Yuba City 1
After taking the first game 28-26, Yuba City dropped the next three, 25-20, 25-11, 25-17 to fall in the nonleague matchup.
Katie Reiland had seven kills and seven blocks, while Tori Thomas had 13 assists and four aces.
Gabi Hinz chipped in 12 digs for Yuba City (4-9, 1-2).

Vanessa Lopez, Kayla Treanor and Bianca Nava each scored a goal to help the Honkers to a Tri-County Conference victory.
