Prep Roundup: River Valley shut out

The Falcons dropped to 0-2 in Tri-County Conference play with a 25-15, 25-19, 25-15 loss to Pioneer in Woodland.
Hailey Shelton had 12 digs and 12 kills and Sierra Pedley added 10 digs in the loss.
River Valley won the junior varsity match 23-25, 25-18, 15-8 and the freshman match 21-25, 25-19, 15-11.
Willows 3, Colusa 2
Caroline Meyers had 13 digs, seven kills and three blocks as the Redskins dropped a 25-12, 25-23, 20-25, 19-25, 15-12 decision in their Sacramento Valley League game in Willows.
Cheyenne Rogers served at 100 percent and had five blocks and five kills, Katie Mobley had seven kills and five blocks and Emily Mobley finished with 19 assists and six kille to lead the Redskins (9-4, 1-1).
Inderkum 3, Yuba City 1
A solid night from Tori Thomas wasn't enough for the Honkers, who fell 13-25, 24-26, 25-23, 18-25 to their TCC opponent.
Sindy Haymore and Tara Roberts preformed well at the service line for Yuba City (4-8, 1-1).

River Valley boys win TCC meet
Swarnjit Boyal took first place in the varsity boys Tri-County Conference meet in Woodland with a 18 minute, 8 second jot and his River Valley team walked away champs.
Nick Mehta (6th, 19:55), Jacob Clayton (9th, 20:22), Amrit Boyal (10th, 20:54) and Punit Tanoit (16th, 21:11) rounded out the boys.
The varsity girls took second as a team after Leanne Jarvis (4th, 23:20), Harkiran Everest (5th, 24:06), Kym Crosby (7th, 24:10), Caroline McBride (17th, 27:24) and Laila Khan (28th, 30:20) all placed with respectful times.
The JV boys took second thanks to Alex Hoskin (4th, 11:49), Andre Titus (5th, 12:04), Andres Quijas (6th, 12:22), Shane Monagham (7th, 12:36) and Neel Mehta (12:53).
The JV girls also took second after Victoria Sager (3rd, 15:45), Meribel Gonzalez (6th, 17:08), Michelle Dewey (7th, 17:10), Sara Beth Schommer (8th, 17:14) and Bridgit Lee (11th, 18:33) all led the way.
