Prep Roundup: East Nicolaus baseball stays hot
Aaron Cater went 2-for-3 to help the East Nicolaus baseball team to a 6-2 victory over Portola at home on Friday.
Cody Evans knocked in a pair of runs and John Kukaruda had a double and a RBI for the Spartans (2-0).
Dylan Culp got the win on the mound with eight strikeouts.

Saul Cuevas had two hits while Efren Reynoso hit a double and knocked in two runs in the first game for the Blazers.
Mike Lang-Perry had two RBIs. In the second game, Erick Tallman and Julian Gonzalez each hit a double. Gonzalez also had two RBIs for Lindhurst (1-1).

Robbie Kunkle finished with six strikeouts and allowed no earned runs to lead the Honkers in the season-opening road victory.
Aaron Byers, Zack Rocha and Robbie Nunkle all had two hits for the Honkers (1-0).
Marysville 9, Foothill 4
Blake Freechtle hit a double and a pair of RBIs to help the Indians to a home victory.
Derek Brown had two hits while Chad Berry recorded a double. Brown and Berry combined in the win for Marysville (2-0).

Sutter 9, Colusa 0
Trevor Carr had four hits including a grand slam and knocked in nine runs to lead the Huskies in both games.
Nathan Ahlers hit a homerun in the nightcap after having two hits and scoring three runs in the first game.
Tyler Pack was the winning pitcher allowing no hits in the first game. Hayden Heilman got the win in the second game. Heilman also had a double in the second game for Sutter (2-0).
