Yuba City doubles team advances
Being seeded No. 2 didn’t stop Lauren Iverson and Jasdeep Kang from knocking off Inderkum’s Harpreet Kaur and Simone White 6-3, 6-3 in the Tri-County Conference super doubles championships.
Iverson and Kang, who went undefeated this season before losing in the singles playoffs on Monday, automatically advanced to the Sac-Joaquin Section doubles championships and will most likely be seeded No. 1. Sections will begin next Thursday at Johnson Ranch in Roseville.
Unseeded Dalenna Duffy and Kelsea Pratt won the flight B and upset No. 1 seeded Inderkum and No. 2 Natomas to win the championship.
