LITTLE LEAGUE: Colusa, Wheatland major baseball win
The Colusa All-Star major baseball team stayed alive in thrilling fashion at the District 2 tournament on Friday at Perrry Field in Sutter.
Colusa pulled off a walk-off victory with two runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to eliminate O-L from the tournament with an 8-7 win.
Lucas Davison and Blake Steidlmayer bother homered for Colusa in the victory.
Colusa was up 6-4 through five innings before O-L stormed ahead with three runs in the top of the sixth. Colusa scored two in the bottom half to walk off.
Davison ended his night 2 for 3 with four RBIs and two runs scored. Steidlmayer was also 2 for 3 and scored twice.
Bobby Bill and Ethan Remmers each knocked in a couple of runs for Colusa.
Anthony Donley went 2 for 4 with a home run and three RBIs for O-L. Shawn Fanning was 2 for 4 with three runs and John Aquino was 2 for 3 with a run.
Keagan Jordan went 2 for 3 with an RBI.
Wheatland 11, South Shore 6
Wheatland broke a 6-6 tie with five runs in the top of the seventh inning, eliminating South Shore from tournament play.
Mark Clark went 3 for 5 with two runs and an RBI. Adin Starr and Steven Brown were both 2 for 5.
Christian Hovey went 2 for 3 and Connor Olsen went 2 for 4.
Starr, Brown, Hovey, Olsen, Garrett Shell and Wyatt Stokes all had an RBI.
