Chandless earns football scholarship

Comments 0

Marysville High football standout James Chandless is heading to Montana State University-Northern on a full-ride scholarship.

"Ever since I was little I wanted to play college football," said Chandless, who officially signed with the school while on a recruiting visit last week.

Chandless, the Appeal-Democrat All-Area Defensive MVP, will play fullback in addition to handling duties at long snapper. He plans on majoring in agricultural operations.

Last season the Northern Lights finished 7-3 while competing in the Frontier Conference of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics.
